Fashion

This week is Christmas, and then before you know it it’s New Years eve.  And then before you know it it’s spring 2011!  Now you’re left wondering, “What the hell am I going to wear?”  According to thefashionmanifesto.com there are five trends that will be making the rounds: Edgy, Classic, the James Bond type, anti-fashion, and the super straight Alpha male.

1.      For Edgy, envision a Male Gaga.  Well to an extent anyway!  Leather (or pleather) pants, and vests.  Think modern day biker dude.  If you’re into edgy check out Christopher Bailey’s collection…….

2.       For Classic, Gucci hits the nail on the head.  The sixties inspired their collection.  Plenty of beige to chocolate colored suits hit the runway.

3.      Dolce & Gabbana was all about James Bond.  Suits, tuxedos, distressed jeans, and definitive pieces stood out with their collection.

4.      So I get it.  You’re against anything to do with fashion.  You could almost say you’re anti-fashion.  Well guess what?  You still have to get dressed.  You can do that with Louis Vuitton’s collection.  Everything in the collection is relaxed and loose fitting.

5.      What’s the super straight Alpha male? Dior Homme was inspired by urban Europe.  Loose clothing was the main theme on his runway, with long swaying trench coats.  Most of the colors were blacks, grays, and beiges.

You’ve got plenty of looks to choose from.  You can even go from James Bond one week to anti-fashion the next week.  With all the great looks out there and whatever look you’re going for (my personal favorite is the edgy one), you definitely won’t get bored this spring 2011.
