COUGH IT UP COUGHLIN

No words can explain or express the way Giants players and fans feel this morning after that devastating 38-21 loss to The Eagles last night. A complete meltdown from the Giants in the fourth quarter no matter how much I look back and view those last 8:17 minutes of complete domination from Michael Vick and the Eagles.

“By far, this is one of the greatest comebacks of my career, being down by such a huge deficit,” said Vick. “We were able to come back in a short period of time. It’s outstanding.”

Vick who single handily beat the football Giants yesterday afternoon threw for 242 yards 3 touchdowns and ran for 130 yards and also had a rushing td. You see the numbers don’t impress me cause at the end of the day he’s Vick and we all expect that from him but to do it all in 8:17 left in the fourth quarter it’s plain and simple remarkable. He won that game faster then you getting a Cinnamon Dolce Crème Frappuccino at Starbucks during rush hour. And when you think its all said and done and we’re heading to overtime here comes DeSean Jackson and takes a 65-yard punt return to the house.

“I was thinking to myself like they’re not going to kick it to me,” Jackson said. ” I was thinking he was going to kick it out bounce. But it got to me. From there, I just used my instincts and my speed to get into the end zone.”

And that he did. DeSean Jackson 65-yards punt return touchdown was the longest game-winning TD on the final play of regulation since 1960. And also puts him in second place (behind Gale Sayers 12) on the list of players with the most 60-yard touchdowns before the age of 25.

You know what else is outstanding, that Tom Coughlin wasn’t wheeled away in a stretcher after that game or how he didn’t kick the kicker. (All jokes aside)
The rookie kicker (who’s name I will not say due to security reason) was ordered to kick the ball out of bounce by Coughlin but did the complete opposite. And handed the Eagles the top seed in the NFC East.

The Giants dominated the first half, out gaining the Eagles 222-74 sacking Vick twice and forcing a interception. Eli Manning finished the game with 289 yards and four touchdowns. Mario Manningham had eight catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns.

Any last words Coughlin?

“I’ve never been around anything like this in my life”, Coughlin said. “It’s about as empty as you get to feel in this business, right there”.
